Who are you?

Do you know who you really are?

This isn’t as easy a question to answer as you may think. We all know our name, we know the label given to us by the profession we carry out in our working lives, we know our position in the pecking order of the family tree but who are you? What makes you tick?

In my new book The Path to Learning one way to get to know who you are is by taking a deeper look at what you do and how you do it. Here’s an extract from the book – “when you are doing something that comes easily to you, you are more than likely working in or on something that fits your personality… Think about some of your favorite celebrities. There is something about them that stands out. They are recognised for that particular behavior but, when out of the limelight or taking part in charity work they can seem completely different.”

So as you can see our jobs don’t define who we are neither does our family positioning. What defines us is our ability to choose which experiences we learn from and which experiences we leave behind.

Which of your experiences will you choose learn from?
