Today is Popeye’s birthday. His first appearance in comic strips back in 1929 makes him 90 years old. For those who don’t know of Popeye, he is a comic strip character famous for gathering super strength from the super food spinach. I’m sure he’d be pleased to hear the news today recommended by the EAT-Lancet commission.
They suggest we reduce our red meat consumption in order to save lives and the planet. Their suggestions indicates that red meats should be replaced with healthier plant based foods. Here are two questions for you;
- Could you change your meat eating habits to the equivalent of one burger a week?
- Should chocolate be considered a plant based food?
