How to Reduce High Blood Pressure Naturally

We all know that high blood pressure (hypertension) can be very dangerous and can lead to more serious health issues such as heart attacks and strokes but what can you do about it?

If you have been diagnosed with hypertension chances are that when your doctor first spoke to you about this it was a bit of a shock and you were given a 24 hour blood pressure monitor as an initial way to track your blood pressure.  That wretched machine which would buzz every so often throughout the day and night squeezing your arm to what felt like near amputation!

You’ve probably also been told to cut the salt intake down and eat a healthy balance diet and exercise at least 3 times a week. That’s all good and well but did you ask the question

What is actually causing your blood pressure to rise so high in the first place?

If you’re anything like me…….not overweight, pretty healthy, eat well and not much of a drinker you will start to ponder on that very question.  It certainly was a shock to me at the age of 35 when I was diagnosed with the condition.  The solution my doctors came up with was of course was to put me on drugs for the rest of my life.  Me being me, I outright refused and started doing my own research into the cause of high blood pressure.

It could be hereditary I hear you say. A cultural predisposition? Maybe there is something in your diet that needs to be eliminated.

I did everything I could think of to try and bring that number down (and yes it was dangerously high). Don’t get me wrong I was very concerned but prescription drugs was a last resort for me.

It was years later that I had a light bulb moment and eventually realised exactly what was missing from my diet that was the issue.  This is just what the doctors will not tell you. Why?  Because they get paid for writing out a little prescription just for you!

Having armed myself with this knowledge my blood pressure is now back to normal and I’m back on track with my health. Whooop Whooop!!!!! And I’ve helped many other people do the same.

What was missing from my diet?  A number of vital nutrients needed for my body to function optimally, one being calcium. Simple!  Without these nutrients my body was out of balance and high blood pressure was my body warning to me that something’s missing here and do something about it now.
